Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced on Tuesday that their sales nation wide are up a whopping 12%. This spike is thanks to the Ram and Jeep brands racking in some tremendous sales last month. Los Angeles and California as a whole being one of the major regions showing growth. Many Los Angeles Jeep RAM dealers were up year over year by healthy margins. The U.S sales of Jeep SUVs increased 23% from the previous year. Taking the lead by a landslide, was the compact Compass and subcompact Renegade with a massive 54% gain in sales. While the other models of Jeep didn’t provide skyrocketing numbers, they contributed an overall moderate boost for the company. Year-over year the Grand Cherokee is up 12%, Cherokee up 7%, Wrangler up 3% and the Patriot up 3%. February was an astonishing month for FCA.
RAM Trucks had an exciting month as well both in Los Angeles and abroad. The brand had an increase in sales this month by 27% year-over-year and with the unveiling of the 2017 RAM Power wagon at the Chicago Auto Show, February will definitely be a month to remember. The company’s jump in marketing for commercial fleet buyers was a favorable, effective, and profitable business decision. Jump back a year when the FCA’s CFO Richard Palmer said that the company would be looking for ways to improve sales of trucks and vans to commercial fleets all around the United States. Looks like everything worked out as planned considering the Ram ProMaster and Ram ProMaster City vans reported their best February sales ever this year.
The FCA US completed the month February with a massive supply of inventory, 673,494 units to be exact.
